**pieces of poetry**

Broken Champagne Flute

A moving room
of chaos
8 feet long
4 feet wide
ice sings against crystal
and bubbles of
liquid nectar overflow into your lap
starry sky is captured
on the ceiling
while dancing colors
blur our reality
the air is fill
of comfort
drunken laughter
& love for you
till a door opens
& 11 hearts spill onto
the rain stained pavement
one shattering into pieces
mimicking
a broken champagne flute
left discarded
in an ice bucket

Donuts in a paper bag

sugar and cinnamon
freshly made
on your tongue
swish of plastic
as your hand reaches for mine
we walk through the dark
damp world
not belonging anywhere
but with each other
lead me away
from the cold
the world is strangers
with nothing to offer
and our heat is escaping
from the white paper bag

poems relating to last night and today
enjoy. Please give me your feedback,
they are still works in progress
